acies
When you say toolbar what exactly do you mean, I have tab bar and my navigation bar that's all. Here are my addons: AdBlock Plus British english dictionary Compact Menu Download Status FlashGot IE Tab Image Zoom Menu Editor No tab close button Split Brower Stop or reload button translator Video Downloader thanks
Tantawi
Did you try disabling all addons (not uninstalling) so you can be sure of the cause of the problem? you can do that in the Add-ons manager.
dud
Hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and look at your processes. Is svchost.exe eating 97-100% of your cpu time?
SacrificialSoldier
This post is a personal opinion. Take it as such. AdBlock Plus (Good!) British English dictionary (What 4?) Compact Menu (Do you need it? Is the old menu really that bad?) Download Status (Good!) FlashGot (Good! But DownThemAll is better!) IE Tab (Is it really that much work to open IE?) Image Zoom (WHY? Nice but really useless.) Menu Editor (Nice but only sort of. I just removed it myself) No tab close button (Good!) Split Browser (is this a must have?) Stop or reload button (what's wrong with the built in one?) Translator (What 4?) Video Downloader (Not worth it. There sites that do just as good with out installing an addon) PS: My FF takes 2 seconds to start and I have DownThemAll TabMixPlus Download Statusbar AdblockPlus AIRoboform
primexx
AdBlock Plus OK British english dictionary This is pointless. Navigate to the plugin directory, copy the two files over to the dictionary folder in your Firefox folder in Prog files, then uninstall the extension. Compact Menu OK Download Status OK FlashGot I'm against the Flash Get program to begin with (adware) so I dont approve of this extension. However I dont think there are any leaks. IE Tab Use IE Tab Lite, same function, more optimized code. Image Zoom What do you need this for? Menu Editor OK No tab close button This is utterly pointless. Use the about:config option instead that does the same thing. Split Brower OK Stop or reload button Also pointless. Use CSS instead. translator do you use all these languages? Video Downloader not sure if this is needed. ==== personally mine starts slow as hell but that's only because it needs to re-generate most of the cache files for the profile/GUI because I delete them regularly (ccleaner) before backing up my profile (to save space). And I also have 27 extensions of various sorts lol.
Berserk87
i had a bunch of addons before. i dont remember what they were exactly but i had two video downloading ones and a download status one, and i removed them a couple days later because they made firefox take longer to load, try disabling them all. acies
Thanks for all the replies, I cut my extension down to 9, takes about 5 second to open now (Y) Though I can't seem to get either the stop/reload or the remove "alltabs button" code to work. I am pasting them into my userChrome.css. this: #stop-button[disabled=true], #stop-button:not([disabled]) + #reload-button { display:none; } and this: .tabs-alltabs-stack { display: none !important; } Thanks
