Saitek Posted May 16, 2007 Share Posted May 16, 2007 Well my computer has been having some problems and its not booting up past the bios. Like, it posts and everything but then it gets stuck and freezes. A few things im going to try when i get the time is reseating the cpu, and changing the hard drive. gummyz Posted May 16, 2007 Share Posted May 16, 2007 Does it get stuck at the point after ur HD/DVD/CD drives are listed? Can you get into your bios? Does your motherboard have memtest built in? I would start off by running memtest if you can actually get past the initial boot screens. If you freezes during POST, I would definately start off by reseating everything.
