UFC 75 will take place in London, England in September, according to a UFCjunkie.com (www.ufcjunkie.com) source close to one of the event?s possible fighters.

Although we were unable to secure the additional details needed to make the announcement, news of the event has finally gone public.

Today, The Fight Network issued a report stating that UFC 75 will, in fact, take place in London, and British fighter Michael Bisping and France?s Jess Liaudin will appear on the fight card.

Bisping was the light heavyweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter 3, and after defeating Eric Schafer with a first-round TKO at UFC 66, he dazzled a Manchester crowd at last month?s UFC 70 event with a second-round TKO of Elvis Sinosic. UFC president Dana White has stated numerous times that Bisping will be a key factor in the UFC?s expansion into the European market.

His opponent for the UFC 75 event is not yet known.

Liaudin, too, will face an as-of-yet unnamed opponent. He made his UFC debut at that same UFC 70 event, and the Frenchman?s quick armbar submission of Dennis Siver created one of the undercard?s most lauded fights.

According to The Fight Network report, UFC 75 will take place Sept. 8, possibly at The O2, a recently renovated arena that could hold more than 20,000 visitors. The arena, however, is still known as the Millennium Dome to most English residents. It opened in 2000, but because of financial problems, closed later that year. It?s currently being renovated and is expected to host the 2009 World Gymnastics Championships and the artistic gymnastics and basketball event at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
