Salgoth
Ok, devoted FF user that I am I updated to the 2.0.0.4 release -Great, works fine. What is odd is that I can definitely notice a much improved loading speed for pages - especially those with a lot of images i.e. Deviantart, Artuproar, etc. Not much, if any, difference with sites like Neowin - but definitely something noticeable on graphic intensive sites. I looked over the changelog but didn't see anything that caught my eye and would increase rendering/loading speed for pages. Just wanted to know if its just my over-active imagination or if others are noticing a similar speed boost. For all I know maybe my ISP bumped up the bandwidth - yeah right  . bayrider
I actually find that 2.0.0.4 runs slower than the previous version. Sometimes it just hangs for a couple secs when pages first load, even if im using back/fwd. Also noticed that sometimes it hangs when I switch tabs. Xerxes
I am a dedicated Firefox fan and been using it for years. However, currently using IE7 now as Firefox 2.0.0.4, for some odd reason locks my computer up at random times (only fix is a forced restart) and it is rather annoying! I have no idea the cause or how to fix it, so for now I'll will just use IE7 and hope the next Firefox release fixes this issue, as I really want my Firefox back! :(
