Networking
I recently reformatted my HD, and everything was deleted. I had important data backed up, including my Firefox bookmarks. How would I get to restore my old bookmarks to show under Firefox now. Currently I have nothing bookmarked since my PC was reformatted. I would like to know how would I transport my old profile-which I have saved on to the current Firefox browser. I located my C:\documents and settings\my username\application data\Mozilla\Firefox\profile then in the file profile.ini the instructions said I should change the path= line to the new location. Also it said if you are using a non relative pathname, the direction of the slashes may be relevant. changing ISrelative=1 to isrelative=0 save profiles.ini and restart firefox K this is what I did but I still cant get my profile(my old bookmarks) to show up I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. [General] StartWithLastProfile=0 [Profile0] Name=37rma7aq.akaveli IsRelative=1 Path=Profiles/37rma7aq.akaveli This file up top is located in my profiles.ini

Eolo
Hello Networking. I?m not sure if i understand your question, but it goes any way. Paste your old profile in the directory C:\documents and settings\my username\application data\Mozilla\Firefox\profile than do menu start-run- and write "firefox -p" without quotes, navigate to the old profile folder, and choose it to be the first profile to run with your browser. And all your bookmarks and add-ons will be loaded in the next time you open firefox.

Now I'm trying to incorporate my old bookmarks into the new firefox bookmarks so I can use my previously saved bookmark files.
Piggy
very simple.. locate bookmarks.html file from your firefox backup and overwrite the file in your new installation folder. For me the file is here: C:\Users\Piggy\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\8xf641zz.default\bookmarks.html
