[Release] Blue TaskManager Replacment Made by Me! Vista Users ONL

Recommended Posts

So, I hated the Ugly Green used in both Vista and Xp taskmanager. Not that it is often used, but it is just plain ugly! So I have fixed that!

Tight

@betadan: How would you say the 8800 is matched with your 3800? Does that give you good performance?

Thanks, Chris

edit: Yeah.... LOVE the task manager.

IS it just a hexedited file? And... are you certain that that's all that's been changed??!

Yeah I had to hex edit the graph and spikes, the bars and icon for the task bar is the same as editing a theme file. And yeah that is all I changed! LOL

4-5 lines of hex, one for each respective color to be changed, pretty simple once ya get in there and find the colors ya want to change.

Sad thing is I done this to a XP one a while ago, and in the XP one I could actually Edit the menu words and such but not the vista one. So it still "Says" green in the menu for the view color! Maybe someday I will figure that out

And everyone Please VIEW FULL image, it dont look to good resized! HAHA

Hmm. Nice, but I would the guidelines to be dimmer than the actual graphs. It looks hard to see the graphs with the bright grid.

I made all of that in Photoshop, I have never seen nor heard of Xpise, I saw a image of a modded xp posted somewhere and So I tried to make it look similar. I can show you all my PSD's if ya dont believe me. man why do people think just because a image or file looks like someone else's it is stolen?

It aint like it is hard to make some Bar images and the rest is all HEX edit, See here if you dont believe me>>>>

Development discussion

You will see the Very first post I made about it all has the image I was lookin at to make mine similar. I hope that is not a negative???

*Edit*

After lookin at Xpize, that is a app I would have to use for xp correct? I am in vista, and dont have any reason to install xpise, but after a google search I do see some images that look similar, I guess great minds think alike! All done on my end via Xvi32 for HEX, Resource Tuner For Image replacement, and Photoshop for image making, ohh and Axialis I made the Icons for the taskbar in.

I was not trying to come off mad, and I hope you was not either. If you will see my discussion in the above thread you will see about all the hex editing, and some of that is kinda hard for a noob at it. I just saw your reply after someone at another site said I done NONE of that myself! So sorry if I came off kinda shifty! :D

Hell man I guess I could have saw a xp install before that used it I dont know, but the idea came out of that image I linked above, and my mind. Any similarity's I am sorry for, Should I change it? If so I can and will, I dont mean to tread on your things in any way shape or form.
