jnr
Hi, I like to use Launchonfly which opens a menu with the mid-button, and there is no other mouse option: http://arturdev.com/index.php?section=prod...uct=launchonfly So I wonder whether I could configure in Firefox a different mouse button combo to open a link in a new tab. Is there a way? thanks

Is there a way? thanks The Tab Mix Plus extension offers a lot of mouse customization options. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122 You should also check out Mouse Gestures. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/

jnr
The problem is that both FFX "open link in new tab" and LaunchonFly use the wheelmouse button. TabmixPlus, which I use, allows to configure plenty of click options in the tab area but not on a link as I described. Changing the mouse button mapping in the driver doesn?t help either since the same button would still launch LOF and FFX open new link... Instead of MouseGestures I use StrokeIt which works throughout windows (not browser specific) and is very useful (highly recommended). This will end up being the solution, by using back/forward gestures and thus allowing me to remap the corresponding mouse button to a LaunchOnFly hotkey. :-) Incidentally StrokeIt doesn?t have "Rocker" gestures (MouseGestures does) but you can get that functionality with the Rocker utility: http://lifehacker.com/software/exclusive-l...09.php#c1417938 Thanks all for the suggestions ;-)
