[help] Safari, Text in capitals on some sites.

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else getting this problem with Safari.

Some sites seem to show parts of the text in capitals, which doesn't happen in Firefox or IE7:

It's a small but yet annoying problem, but happens on alot of sites.

Is there a way to fix this??

thanks.

Just the text in caps on the main page, none of it should be in caps, FF or IE7 don't display it like that. I also happens on alot of message boards and can get quite annoying to read through.

Here gamefaqs.com,

Ps: I am using Windows XP SP2

May I ask, what font are you using in Safari? I just visited that site to check out if I was having the problem and it's all working fine, nothing abnormal.

Did you try clearing your cache, browsing history, etc?

I am just blurting out suggestions, I don't know if it would work because it has never happened to me but, it is possible. Doesn't hurt to try.

The text in question (I looked at your shot tiagosilva29 too) would be rendered by the browser based on a default transfrom sheet. Normally, using an RSS reader, there would be an XSLT (xsl transform) template, or similar, applied. If the text is coming up in capitals, then either the feed is causing it to render as caps, or the template is causing it.

If the font specified in the template (or browser) is not present on your system, then it may be substituting another font which does not have lowercase typefaces, or may be applying the wrong transfrom style.

interesting, changing font doesn't do anything, so what should I do?

Ok well the new version of the bet seems to have fixed that problem, but now images don't seem to load on websites, and this appears to be a problem on all websites:
