NienorGT
Hey, I have trouble getting working Xbox DVD Kit units. I mean, I brought it and I'm at my 3rd kit after 2 returns. Does Microsoft as made weak hardware? Any one got trouble with them in the past? Ok they are used but still what the chances that I get 3 broken units in row? The remote actually don't even send IR in most of case or occasionally they send 1 button press and don't send the second. (You can see a remote infrared LED lit with any digital cameras, try it yourself by pointing any remote in front of a camera and press buttons) Batteries work well in another remote for my TV. Actually, I'm a bit shy to return a 3rd not working unit to the EB Games store. It's sad because XBMC on a regular wired remote sucks...
jerzdawg
have you tried using it from the MS dashboard... try watching a reg dvd without going into XBMC to see if it is a problem with the software...
kingroach
Just program a universal remote.. I think the code is 011 ( or whatever is the RCA dvd code)..
NienorGT
jerzdawg: Actually it's not a problem of software, it's the remote itself that don't emit anything :/ When I got it running (For 5 minutes) it was well working in UnleashX and XBMC. kingroach: This would mean that I need to keep the not working unit to use the Receiver and it's even not absolute that it will work :(
