This weekend...is this the test that Hatton finally needs to prove his worth?....I think Hatton will be challenged because who remembers all those classic fights between Castillo vs Corrales I think Castillo is made of tough stuff...

Anyone gonna see it?

Didn't Mayweather say he was retiring? Or was he just running his mouth for the cameras as usual?

He is to young to retire plus the form that Hatton was in will change that...plus as Snyper said a few more Million and he's got himself a fight...

Hatton cannot beat Mayweather. Would be good to watch though.

Castillo is a shot fighter and bummer for Hatton because such an easy win does nothing to boost his aura.

I still can't believe how shot Castillo looked, from the opening bell, it was a matter of time.

I remembered the Castillo and Corrales matches and the way Hatton beat him was weird...

Ricky Hatton has been warned he will regret trying to tempt boxing legend Floyd Mayweather out of retirement for a big money showdown.

Manchester's Hatton, 28, called out the American after his stunning fourth-round stoppage of Jose Luis Castillo in Las Vegas on Sunday.

But 30-year-old Mayweather's advisor Leonard Ellerbe told BBC Sport: "We can make the deal this year.

"Hatton's trying to promote himself off Floyd's name and he'll kick his butt."

Hatton is eager to take on five-weight champion Mayweather, the world's best pound-for-pound boxer, after stopping Castillo in Las Vegas.

Hatton would get pwned by Mayweather...

Don't be too confident, although with enough ??? it is bound to happen. It would be the fight of the year!

I'm not being confident, I just call it like it is. Mayweather would have a much easier time with Hatton than he did with DLH. And you know how that turned out.

Mayweather targets Hatton!

Floyd vows to beat him all the way back to England.

"Ricky Hatton has talked nonstop about fighting me for the last two weeks," says 'retired' WBC welterweight/super welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather. "He has disrespected me and my accomplishments in the ring, and I take that very seriously. I'm going to give him the opportunity to step up and fight the best in the world. I don't think this punk will take the challenge." A potential bout against Hatton would set the stage for a match-up between two of the sports best undefeated fighters. With his win over Castillo, Hatton improved his record to 43-0 with 31 KO's. Mayweather is 38-0 with 24 KO's. "Now that Hatton has opened up his big mouth, he might start to think about what he has been asking for," continued Mayweather. "Does he really want to step into the ring with best fighter of this era and embarrass himself? Being the coward that he is, I doubt he'll get in the ring. We'll see what his excuse will be this time."

Woot!...I would like to see these 2 get it on...but as I said before I really think Hatton could be out of his league...

Floyd will easily outbox him... will be boring from a fans perspective... I would love to see Hatton pound that dope into the ground but: shrug. Be like another Baldomir.

Promoter Dennis Hobson has offered Floyd Mayweather ?5m to fight Ricky Hatton in Britain later this year.

Mayweather says he is willing to come out of retirement to fight Manchester's light welterweight champion.

"I've spoken to some of his people and they've been very receptive. It's a very substantial offer," said Hobson.

However, Hatton's former promoter Frank Warren claims he could promote some of his future fights after settling his libel row with the fighter's father.
