[video] The Colbert Report - Give Me An iPhone

Recommended Posts

that passes for humour ? the guys an idiot and you can tell that he is trying to play the joke card to get one as well, sad

Once you see an entire episode once, you understand his humor. He's really one of the funniest people on North American television, along with Jon Stewart.

Mind you, he has done much better bits, including an earlier one on the iPhone.

Wouldn't give that clown anything for free. Typical dribble from a liberal. GIVE ME something instead of PAYING for it.

He's got the money.....if he wants one, get your lazy butt down to a AT&T store and BUY one.

I get tired of all these elitist/celebs always wanting some company to GIVE them something. Bunch of freeloaders.

Wow. You do realize it's all a joke, right? If they ever do make "chill pills", I'm going to mail you a bottle.

It's a bit old at this point, but I love the guy none the less lol. When he first started asking for one, it was hysterical.

Everyone who bashed Colbert here sucks.

This wasn't his funniest bit ever, but in the context of an entire show, it's funny. Especially with the end of his Transformers thing, about the dangers of worshipping technology, followed by the swap to the iPhone, and a quick pleading look.

Side note, anyone remember when he got angry about people calling it a "God Machine", and then had the real God Machine button pop up? Hillarious.

I actually really like some of his stuff.. I think his Bush party thing he did was not very good, but most of the time he is pretty hilarious.

The problem with that is that no one was laughing. It was obviously bringing him down after the start. If he had given the same speech on his show, it would have been much funnier. It's like the audience director lady at the report says: "Stephen feeds on your laughter"

Personally I thought it was hillarious, if just for the very very disgusted/terrified look on Bush's face when he compared his ratings to backwash in a glass.

I reckon you completely missed the joke, I don't know how you did but you did it.

Anyway, Colbert is great, I had never heard of him until I came here but hes one of the funniest on tv.

jeasus people its the second most popular news SATIRE (key, this is key) show in NA. hes not being serious. hes not honestly insisting on a free phone. he is trying to personify himself as an A list celeb and thinks apple should give his character a phone.

hes not like that, its a character he plays.

I miss the Colbert, Strangers with Candy days. I think his comedy is far more successful when it's subtle, rather than the heightened, over-energy Colbert Report. However, I find myself smiling to much in his show.

I think the writers could have found a much better parody spin to the iPhone hype. :)

He is hilarious.

He's also pretty damn popular, all jokes aside, it would be in good interest if Jobs mailed him an iPhone. Stephen would make a big deal and a little segment about how awesome Apple is and how cool the iPhone is.
