Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted June 30, 2007 Global Moderator Share Posted June 30, 2007 Ive been skimming through the movie Ratings, only to see some movies don't show years. If i was looking for a good movie in the last 3 years to watch (4 or 5 :star: ) i want to see years.. Maybe i stand alone on this idea, but i think making years mandatory like in Jokes & Funny stuff be a standard. It also helps tell remakes of movies apart. Slimy
Sure, it makes sense, but you have to remember that it results in more work for the mods :/
kylejn
How about just adding years for remakes? For example, if somebody posted a review of Dawn of the Dead, have them add in parenthesis whether or not it's the old version (from 1980-something, right?) or the remake (from, I think, 2005)? I don't care one way or the other as I don't frequent the Movie Ratings forum, but for people who do, that might be helpful.
Rappy Veteran Posted June 30, 2007 Veteran Share Posted June 30, 2007 I always add the years in brackets so people can see...
fr33k
you could add a note to the "Guidelines & pointers for this forum" to copy the full title of the movie including the year from IMDB? http://www.imdb.com/
Corris Veteran Posted July 2, 2007 Veteran Share Posted July 2, 2007 There should defiantly be a year requirement, it would keep it better organised, and just makes sense really, its not exactly that troublesome either, a quick search would find the year.
