zzap
If I'm loading a large page in Firefox and am doing a few other things and it uses 100% CPU for a few seconds while it renders the page and such, I get an "Unresponsive script" window telling me there's some kind of script stealing all my CPU; when in fact it's just downloading a really long/large page. This happens often when I load a page to view all the comments on a digg article. Any ideas on how to turn this off, or make it stop?
supernova_00
I believe it is 'network.http.keep-alive.timeout' in about:config, edit the number to something higher...mines is 900.
zzap
I believe it is 'network.http.keep-alive.timeout' in about:config, edit the number to something higher...mines is 900. Mine was set to 300. I've changed it to 900 and I'll see how it goes. Thanks.
zzap
It's actually "dom.max_script_run_time" in about:config. If there isn't an entry already, make it, and set the value to about 20. The default value is 5. Edited July 11, 2007 by XsNrG8
