You know....I love the premise of this show, I really do. Hell, I've seen every episode except for the latest, which is patiently waiting for me.

But every episode kills a small part of the physicist within me. Do they even have any form of scientific consultant? A lot of other scifi does a much better job fitting in with how physics and science actually works. This show is probably the worst example in that regard. It wouldn't be so bad if it was trivial bits of scientific minutia that were incorrect, but entire problems and solutions are mind numbingly physically annoying.

Ignore that, and it's a decent show, but I wish they could fix this one glaring flaw.... Just get a decent science advisor, writers! I don't expect any writer to be able to pull anything but buzzwords from thin air.... Advisors, Advisors, Advisors....

you know it's a comedy show.

it's supposed to be completely unrealistic. not once have they pretended there's any scientific basis to anything in the show. it's just good old scifi fun, without the trekkie wannabe science talk.

I understand this.

But they could do everything that they want to do, and not be nearly as far outside the realm of possibility as they are.

I love Fantasy. I love Scifi. But Eureka tries to blend pop-science with scifi unsuccessfully. I like Eureka, but I don't love it. It's the attempt to blend with pop-science that's the problem. If you're going to pull a big word out of your ass, like "tensor fields", in the recent gravity episode, please have some understanding of what that actually is. They could have come up with something just as impressive sounding, but less annoying to any scientists watching.
