Internet Explorer 8 Alpha Screens!

Recommended Posts

I think there is a lot of sense using the ribbon interface with Internet Explorer, I was reading somewhere that it's Microsoft's new approach to application design - everything will have a ribbon bar.

I think it looks interesting but I just don't think it's real.

If Microsoft said that "everything will have a ribbon bar", please post a source. I'd be interested in seeing that for myself.

Otherwise I am going to assume that you are lying.

I don't think they ever did. I know one of the people overseeing the O2k7 development was moved onto Windows, but that's about it.

Those screenshots don't need to be properly faked or look "accurate". They're explicit Photoshops made by jamie from Channel9 to show off some ideas and opinions he had.

Are you people actually serious.

Whoever thinks that is anywhere close to being real needs to check your eyes at index.php

OBVIOUS FAKE! Look at the pixelation all over the place

Office 2007, page 1/1 ???

Firefox Skin??

Exactly.

It's fake. Can this be, like, closed or something?

I don't think I would make it my default browser though as I love Maxthon 2 too much.

I'm going to assume you meant to say Firefox 2 :x

And I thought it was real ... only joking! It would be nice if the proper IE8 does have a ribbon interface like office 2007. I don't think I would make it my default browser though as I love Maxthon 2 too much.

guys stop hitting, the man's dead!

seriously office 2k7 ribbon is a bad idea for a browser because it only has a handful of features, and real estate is very important. all they can add to the interface right now are small smart details and more customizability. I'm patiently waiting that microsoft really make use of their desktop rendering techology on their programs more.
