Dearster
I opened firefox this morning and it appeared that i had lost all my settings, bookmarks and homepage etc, as if it had been reset or turned back to default settings. The only thing i can think of is that i didnt turn off my pc correctly last night, would this be the reason this happened?
htwho
Must be a profile issue. Try running firefox in safe mode. I advise you to download the Foxmarks Bookmarks extension since it backs your bookmarks online.

NightCrawler.
Here's what you do, same thing happened to me last week: Start>Run>%APPDATA%>Mozilla>Firefox>Profiles>xr3hklsi.default>bookmarkbackups> Drag the latest one to your desktop or my documents folder. Then open Firefox, go to Organise bookmarks and import the file.
gertin
You might have %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxx.default\bookmarks.bak too. Copy it to bookmarks.html in the same directory and restart Firefox. Just in case bookmarkbackups is empty. :)
Tom Swiss
I agree that Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer should be an must have addons for Firefox. For IE user, IE7Pro 1.1 beta can support the same feature.
