RDC & Restore Points on Delete/Move Actions

Recommended Posts

Well, Vista is slow on file moves everyone knows that, but simply has to ahve a reason. As in Restore Point is made every single time you delete the file. This probably has somethign to do with Offline Files and System restore. So is it possible to manage these options from registry somehow?

I mean there most be register key somewhere to see when does Windows System Restore Activate and under what conditions. However not sure how well it's covered by MS..

Second thing..

Remote Differential Compression functions.. I see easy this slows me down in amny ways. So what does this do in general? Matches and syncronizes remote files to local? does this also affect as MS handles local file systems now days also as network drives same to local files?

Anyhow, don't know been trying to figure what these do and only thing I get on answer is some none english giberis and I should even understand that giberis as been with computers since 1980s..
