Artamir
Heya! I'm working on a website...went for a clean and simple look. Here's the URL: http://members.tripod.co.uk/subart I know I need to make it bigger. I designed it from 1024x768 while I usually use 1280x1024. >_< I also need to find a way to make it work for Opera and Mozilla, but I can't seem to find a way to do it because of the floating layers. :\ Any suggestions? And on a side note...has anyone hear comments or had past experiences with http://www.worldwebhosters.com/ ? 0 Bob Carrick
Websites should be deisgned for 800 x 600 still, and if you are good you make them expand and collapse when the window is sized.
0 Artamir
It's not a matter of being good or not, but using percentages instead of fixed sizes. Thanks for the input guys. :)
0 SOOPAH256
i like the layout...but yeah, like other said, it should be at least a little more bigger. the color scheme is good, but wouldn't be my top choice. maybe something less monochromatic and more color matching. perhaps some greys and pastel colors. otherwise, keep up the good work. 0 +BudMan MVC Posted December 31, 2002 MVC Share Posted December 31, 2002 Websites should be deisgned for 800 x 600 still Where did you get that from? - How does anyone continue to use 800x600?? Are people blind??

Are people blind?? I'll have to agree with BudMan. Although in some countries 800x600 is still a standard, out of all the websites I've built 90% of my users use 1027x768. I've also been noticing a big jump to 1152x864.

Although in some countries 800x600 is still a standard Hmmm - countries, not so sure - but Florida maybe. 800x600 is for people who can not see, or lost an eye, have coke bottle glasses and can not find them at the moment :) What countries would have a 800x600 standard?? Countries that have all of our old 14" monitors??
0 kjordan2001
I gotta agree on your choice of color schemes, too soft. And not sure I like that thing running down the side, although it's just kinda there since it's not filling my web browser.
0 Artamir
Alright, thanks for your comments guys. :) I'll try to mix some more colors in and make it a bit bigger. Then I'll see what happens. ^_^ DJ^TuRKiYe: I chose World Web Hosting because of it's prices...I'm in Canada, don't have a credit card, and I don't have a job as of yet, altho I'm searching for one. :\ Thanks for the suggestion tho. :)

0 logan
i think websites built for 1024x768 is good, on my site stats, most viewers are using that resolution.. but you need to get a host, or get hosted... tripod sucks nice layout though.. i like it, very clean
0 Artamir
Heh...I know I need another host..>_< It's just that each time someone offers to host me, the account only works for a month or so. They format and forget to tell me or just remove my account without warning. Then I can't reach anyone. This has happened to me twice now. :(
0 SOOPAH256
hey Artamir, try using web1000. it's free, but i'm not sure about the month thing. i was just introduced to it (by Radish?) a couple days ago and haven't really had a chance to test it out. but it's worth a shot. i think it'll at least be better than tripod. good luck with your page!;);)
