What is your graphics card history?

Recommended Posts

I've had (since 2000)...

  • 3dfx Voodoo Banshee (16 MB)
  • NVIDIA GeForce2 MX (32 MB)
  • NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 (64 MB)
  • ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (128 MB)
  • NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT (256 MB)
  • NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (320 MB)

I feel I've made some sound choices/investments over the years in this area, generally buying the best cards within four months of release (usually upon first price drop) and ensuring they're one of the best of their time, especially in the price-to-performance category.

How about you?

Let's see on my main computer:

  • Matrox G200 (?not sure?) (8Mb)
  • 3dfx Voodoo Banshee AGP (16 MB)
  • nVidia TNT2 AGP (32MB)
  • nVidia GeForce 2 MX AGP (64MB)
  • nVidia GeForce4 MX 440 AGP (64MB)
  • ATI 9600XT AGP (128MB)

  • nVidia 7900GT PCI-E (256MB)
  • nVidia 8800GTS PCI-E (640MB) (Current)

I also had on my secondary computer:
