+vlsi0n Subscriber¹ Posted July 19, 2007 Subscriber¹ Share Posted July 19, 2007 When I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox (2.0.0.5) all of my extensions ceased to work. The problem is that when I restart Firefox the extensions do not work still. I was wondering if this happened to anyone else, or possibly if anyone knows a solution. Without Firefox having all the extensions it's so mediocre, so I hope this can get sorted out quickly. Thanks!
myrhymeandreason
I had that issue when I upgraded to 2.0.0.4, even after restarting. I uninstalled Firefox completely and reinstalled and everything worked out fine. Perhaps this will work for you. If you want to keep all of your extensions if you plan to run this method, try Febe. You can also go to "C:\Documents and Settings\(User Name)\Application Data" and make a backup of the Mozilla folder to make sure bookmarks and other settings are saved. Shadoefax
I was wondering if this happened to anyone else, or possibly if anyone knows a solution. You can reset Firefox's extension database by deleting three file in your profile directory: extensions.cache extensions.ini extensions.rdf Firefox will re-create these files on restart.
