Malisk
OK, I wish to record some webcam stuff but it got me thinking... They wouldn't be used in the "normal" way of 25 fps video. So is there any special recommendations here? Right now I've tried recording with WMV9 at 10 fps, bit rate around 280 kbps. It actually looks pretty good with those settings. :) I try to record at the minimum number of fps possible to minimize the resulting file size, but the feed doesn't seem to be much faster than 10 fps or so. With this, I can record about 8 minutes to a file of 14 MB. :) Was just wondering if there's something more "appropriate" here for even smaller sizes with decent quality? Some codec designed for low motion or so. I actually thought of using H.264 but I don't think I have a proper codec for that. :) Edit: OK, x264 is one encoder for that... check :)
