FireFox 2.0.0.5 and Window Media Player plug-in

i am using mozilla firefox 2.0.0.5 for my internet access.

unfortunately,i found that is a problem:

while i access a web page with window media player plug-in,

error come out and i can't continuously use the browser and must be shut off.

i have tried to reinstall it but actually it is useless.

what is the problem?

how can i solve the problem?

please help me >.<"

You probably don't have the media plugin installed for Firefox.

When you say "i have tried to reinstall it" the "it" you are referring to is the Firefox web browser, right? Because if that is correct, then uninstalling and reinstalling it would be useless. What you need to install is the plugin. Even if you have it installed for Internet Explorer, you need to do it again for Firefox. When you go to the page that requires the plugin, it should have a little notice somewhere that tells you how to do it.

Have you gone through the troubleshooting steps listed in the Mozillazine article? If so, where is the problem? Is WMP dispalying at all, or is it just that the content will not play but the media player does appear.

If there's an error message, provide us a screenshot.

i have read that troubleshooting and i think that i am the case that

"Firefox crashes on exit if the WMP plugin has been used (Windows 2000)",

but actually i am using windows XP..

and i am sure that i have got the latest verson of JAVA..

the problem is still here=3=
