sys req will be high.

supposedly it's the best looking xbox game yet, and they said they are not decreasing quality of graphics for pc, so i guess something like 1.2ghz+gf3 will be min req

Not according to Best Buy:

Minimum PC System Requirements:

Processor Type: Intel? Pentium? III processor

Processor Speed: 800MHz

Operating System: Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP

System Memory: 256MB RAM

Hard Drive Space: 2GB

Video: Direct 3D-compatible video card with 4MB VRAM

Sound Card: DirectX 8.1-compatible sound card

Drive Type and Speed: CD-ROM 8x

Best Buy , sucks, i know i work for the:rolleyes:s:

Best Buy does suck, I had to fill out 3 job applications b/c they lost my application and then I gave up. But they are good for buying video games and movies tho.

P.S. - My Gamecube sits proudly in my entertainment center next to my SNES, PS2, Sega Genesis, 32x, Sega CD, NES and Dreamcast:D:D:D:D:D:D

it's not modified gf3go. it's between gf4 and and g-fx. that's why codename of that chip is NV3A.

id like to see where you got this info? how could the box possibly be inbetween a gf4 and an fx????? they were barely perfecting the gf4 chipset when the development of the xbox started.... all the specs i read were said it had a gf3go. love to see a link

The Xbox was launched sometime around November of 2001..... The GeForce 4 wasn't launched until sometime around February 2002.... The GeForce FX still hasn't launched.....

If you look at it's specs:

250 Mhz Core

64MB 200Mhz DDR (400mhz)

Memory Bandwidth: 6.4 GB/sec

It's similar to a GeForce 2 Ti......Although I've read it's closer to a GeForce 3.....

This can run on a cube?? that should be amusing, as for the spec's; the box runs a modified 750 mhz and a modified geforce 3 go so requirements shouldnt be much higher then that. mabey a 1 ghz w/ required 32 mb of v-ram?? just speculating, i bought it and returned it. not enuff action for me, to much hiding in the shadows and running away.  :ninja:  are cool but it got old pretty quick

The Gamecube is alot more powerful then you people think, give it some credit.

Yea, but its not AS powerful as a the Xbox. Atleast admit that.

The Geforce in the XBox is closer to a Geforce 3 than that of a 4 series or FX series. Technically it is not as powerful as the aforementioned but do bare in mind that it is a dedicated GPU... Developers know exactly what they can do with the Geforce in the Xbox cause every Xbox is made the same. PC's Geforce 3/4 series cards may well be more powerful but developers cannot guess what the rest of the system is made up of. So if they say the Xbox GPU can do 25 million polys shaded and lit then they can actually do that... PC games prolly at most average 1 million (im not sure aobut that... I know Quake 3 was pushing 100,00 polys)

Ah... thats my piece on it neways :D

I know the Gamecube isnt AS powerful as the Xbox and I have admitted that MANY times.

i will not, when i see games that are on all three system and when one system consistantly has better rated games then i will, and we DONT have that

Some games are like that, but the improvements are so little that pretty much only the enthusiasts can notice them.

what system consistanly has the higher rated multi consol games then?

Actually ur right. But what I was saying is that when a multi-console game comes out, the Xbox fanboys are the ones that seem to think that their version is better b/c it graphiclly looks A LITTLE better (sometimes)...

You fanboys crack me up......

I would like to say however that a systems power in terms of specs in irrelevant.... The N64 was more powerful than the PlayStation, but which sold better ?

The same is the scenario today, out of the three consoles the PS2 has the least impressive specs, however it is the best selling.... We are getting to a point in time where all games on all consoles/pc's look great and gamers are looking for more than pretty pictures, like great music, voice acting and game play.....

Man... You people don't know hardware obviosly...

The x-box is more powerful than the cube in some areas, and the cube is more powerful in others.

Anyways... Yes Splinter Cell could easily be run on the GameCube at the same graphical abilities of the X-box version... I mean before MS stepped in it was going to be on all consoles...

Anyways... Splinter Cell would have been best on PC no matter what... So... I didn't care what console it was going to be on as long as it came out for PC, and it is, and its probably going to look a lot better than the X-Box version...

Now lets talk about something that matters... GameCube has Metroid Prime, Zelda, Eternal Darkness, and the RE series, plus those other games coming from Capcom... That might not be exclusive, but will be out on GameCube first for sure. X-box doesn't have a good game I can think of that I can't already get somewhere else right now, or won't be able to get somewhere else soon. So the point to this message is...

PC > GC > Most everything In life, even death > X-Box...

Wait? You are sure about that? When did M$ go to Ubi Soft's door and bride them? Maybe I missed that news story somewhere. You got a link that shows that Splinter Cell won't be on the PS2 and Gamecube?

Yeah but... PSX Sold better... But Which had Better Games To play...?

If you said PSX... you probably own a PS2...

IF you said N64, you probably own a GC...

If you said, I think I know more about hardware than other people, because I own a Dell, You probably have an X-Box...

um... :D

IF you said, PC ownzerz all! You probably have a very nice PC.

OMG! That's hilarious! Good one!

Actually I owned both the PSX and N64, but I am more loyal to Nintendo (b/c like Spyder said in another thread), b/c I grew up on Nintendo. All the systems are great in their own right tho.

all i know is that if i have an option to get a ps2 version of a game or an xbox version of a game im definetly going w/ the xbox. the grafix are better and it usually has an extra lvl or boss or something. take spiderman for example. not a great game but it was better on the xbox then on any other platform. Metal gear also, granted it came out a yr late but it has extras in it that the ps2 version didnt have

How can you say that? I did not say Xbox gets better rated games. All I said was that it was more powerful hardware wise.

I can't find the post, but some stated that the Xbox isn't better at everything. I'm sure there are things that the Gamecube & PS2 can do better and vice versa. But you also have to remember this...

The Xbox is based on PC hardware and developers know that hardware better, so of course games on the Xbox will look better. Developers have just now started tapping into the PS2's graphical powers (same goes for the Gamecube).

gamecube sucksors LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get Lost! If you can't post an INTELLIGENT response then don't bother at all!
