ok glockfan lets help you out...

first get this program Here its called samurize then u can downlaods configs and scripts in their site or even here on Neowin..any more questions and scripts and configs are plugins taht make the text or pictures come on to ur screen threw the samurize program..hope taht helps i 2 was once confused liek you but it will get better

^bump thread for judge because some people post their desktops using his config and these people that do not know about samurize start asking "what program did you use?" "what is that" "what calendar is that", "what are you using" which is getting a bit annoying..

i am getting pm about it everyday...

w00t - Looks like my first real thread has taken off a bit. :D

I appreciate everyone's input. Samurize is such a great

utility, but I find it very user un-friendly. I've tried several

times to edit my own, without much success....so having

other ppl's scripts, configs and help has been great.

Plus of course, seeing all the same questions on the

Desktops thread, was getting monotonous,

so I felt it was high time it had it's own thread, that

we could refer too. :)

Thanx All

Tartan

Haha, as I'm figuring things out, I'm REALLY liking this program.

With some modifications to Judge's config, I have a whiter text (I've got dark wps, but it's still sometimes hard to read it), plus a few tiny differences (shows available HD space instead of total, etc).

hi all.

i have a problem with judge's script like shown underneath:

samurize.jpg

First: the CPU meter doesn't appear here. i didn't edit something with this script.

Second: I added E, F to the hard drive thing. The border around this script can be resizes but not with the same width. when i rezise the boarder the width change. it's not a line... (hopy you understand what i mean).

third. i want to change the color of the current day into orange (would match better to my desktop). i looked, but didn't find anything.

[edit] fourth: is it normal that he shows me a F letter at the weather thing??? i moved the .ttf to the windows font folder.[/edit]

thanks in advance ;)

i have a little problem...

i was working on a sam script.. but when i moved things around.. the green/red border around did not move with it.. now it says that i will have less proformance because of the area.. how do i fix it?

with samurize, the thing is you just can't post your config file and have it work on any machine without doing some editing (thats why the "Post Your Config" feature was removed at samurize.com), if you want to get it to work, open the editor, and look through each entry

spaceguy - dont worry about that msg, just dont completely fill the screen with a plethora of scripts, as for the box not moving when you move it around, not sure about that

the Weather things still doesn't work. I have put "City, State" and tried many diff things like "zip, USA"; " City, USA" etc... and none of them work. I want to make sure I am putting in the right place:

--------------------------

Function Location

If checkright = "OK" Then

Location = GetHTMLValue("Forecast for ","</B>", "")

Else

Location = "City, USA"

End If

End Function

-----------------------------

So where it says LOCATION thats where u r supposed to put in right ?? or is there some other place ? Thanks.

which weather script are you using? have you tried just zip code?

================================

edit: forgot to post my last script, I no longer have the background/config file, so please, do not pm for them, I made this some time ago

http://www.samurize.com/index.php?page=vie...ull=yes&id=9411

YEah i am using the JUDGE one.. Yeah i did try just with ZIP Code.. and doesnt change a thing :(

It always shows : 26F

But when I checked WEATHER.com it shows my zip has 33F lol

One other thing I would like to know is.. How do i add one more HD to monitor. In this JUDGE it only shows 2 of my partitons. It doesnt show my third partition. Wot do i edit to make it show my 3rd HD too ? Thanks.

OK a few things:

1. The border around the area where all my performance meters are drawn is in fact three graphical areas. If you resize them using the config editor they stick at five pixels wide. You would have to go into the .ini and edit them by hand. They'll be the [Graphx] sections with no meters in them.

2. To change the current day into orange. Edit the calendar as illustrated in one of my earlier posts Click on a DH0x meter (e.g. DH01) and change the color to whatever you want. Note the hex value (say FF7700) Then edit the .ini by hand and do a global search/replace to change every occurrence of FFFF0000 to whatever FF<your hex value> i.e. FFFF7700 in this example.

3. Change the font for the [symbol] meter to 'Weather'. Again see my earlier post for where to do this in the config editor.

4. The CPU meter should work. Dunno what's going on there.

5. The location for the weather script has to change on this line:

City = "01450" ' Set this to your city, dont forget the format "city, country".

Like the comment says

6. To add more meters, use the add-meter control in the config editor (again, see an earlier post for a picture of what the config editor looks like).

7. I don't know why people persist in saying that a script has to be edited to work on someone elses machine. This seems to be because when most people put a meter in their config they don't select 'local machine' Of course if you have things like location dependency or email account checking etc. you could get problems. but for plain old system stats and things like a calendar, there should be no problem.

Finally. Please read back through this thread. There's a lot of useful info. Especially now

Stay cool - Judge.

hmm, lets clarify a few things

1 - Script is the actual part of the config doing the work (grabbing certain text off of a page, things like this)

2 - Config is the collaboration of multiple scripts that we actually put together for our eyes

there are a few weather scripts, I am using the NOOA Weather script, extended weather was broke last I checked it

I haven't looked at judges ini file yet, but i'm sure he is using the builtin hd monitor script, so just go to add meter >> drive space (or copy & paste the parts you want from the config and just modify the drive letter

    • The government is not the good guy either. You propose 99% of people require that the government overreach and govern their freedom of information and privacy, while ignoring the government is made up 100% of people, of which 99% are (as you described) brain dead. You can't have both. The reality is Signal is absolutely right and the government is doing what it has always done. Ignoring that we are their boss and grabbing all the power they possibly can to make sure we aren't. Your (societies) ###### parenting is not reason enough as to why I can't have a safe platform for my data/information. Thinking the government is helping is precisely what they are targeting psychologically to take suckers like you for a ride. "Think of the children" was, has, is, and will always be a mechanism of control. In the rare occasion it's actually essential the mass consensus has always been there and it doesn't become a debate.

    • Apple would rather delay Siri AI than open iOS to rival assistants in the EU by Pradeep Viswanathan At WWDC 2026, Apple today announced a revamped Siri AI experience for iOS and iPadOS users. However, this new Siri AI experience will not be available on iPhones and iPads in the European Union when iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 launch later this year. In a detailed press release, Apple blamed the Siri delay on the EU’s Digital Markets Act, highlighting that EU regulators did not accept its proposed solutions for bringing Siri AI to the region. Consequently, there is currently no timeline for Siri AI’s availability on iOS and iPadOS in the EU. Here is what EU users will be missing due to this delay: Siri AI, Apple’s next-generation assistant powered by Apple Intelligence A new dedicated Siri app for revisiting conversations Expanded Visual Intelligence features Integrated AI-assisted writing tools Siri mode in Camera on iOS Other system-level AI features Since the new Siri experience on watchOS 27 is dependent on an iOS 27 device, EU users will also miss out on Siri AI on watchOS 27. The most frustrating part is that even developers based in the EU will not be able to test or use the new Siri AI features for their apps on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and watchOS 27. In its press release, Apple mentioned that making Siri AI available in the EU would require the company to give other AI assistants (like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini) broad access to private user data and the ability to control installed apps. Essentially, the EU wants competing AI systems to be able to read and send messages, make purchases, access files, and perform actions across apps. To address these concerns, Apple proposed an intermediary system called Trusted System Agent. This system would have allowed other virtual assistants to access the same features as Siri AI in a safer way. However, the European Commission rejected Apple's proposals, and it is currently unclear why. The good news is that Apple stated it will continue working with EU regulators to bring Siri AI to the region. For now, however, iPhone and iPad users in the EU will have to wait. If platform gatekeepers such as Apple and Google reserve deep operating system capabilities only for their own AI assistants, rival services such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and others will be at a major disadvantage. Modern AI assistants are no longer simple chatbots. They require access to core OS-level capabilities such as reading on-screen context, interacting with installed apps, sending messages, creating calendar events, managing files, and completing user-approved actions across the device. If only Siri on iOS or Gemini on Android can access these capabilities, competing AI services will struggle to offer the same level of convenience, even if their underlying models are better. This is exactly what the European Union's DMA is trying to address. Apple and Google should be allowed to protect user privacy and security, but they should not be permitted to use those concerns as a blanket excuse to block rival AI assistants from getting fair access to core platform features. A secure permission-based framework could allow users to choose their preferred AI assistant without giving any company unrestricted access to personal data.
