[ASP] different types of variables.

Hi i know nothing about asp and i am trying to find out the different types of variables and objects i think like Global, and session variables. is that right? i would like to know the difference between them and how they work an also how can i store a variable inside one of them. i hope this makes sense. ASP's built-in objects are rather small in numbers, but generally:

• Application - Allows you to persist data between all users of the application.
  
• ASPError - Gives information about the last error to occur in an ASP application.
  
• Request - Gives information about the client's request & server details, e.g. Forms, Cookies, QueryStrings, ServerVarialbles.
  
• Response - Manages the page's response.
  
• Server - Allows you to create server-side object instances, encode text etc.
  
• Session - Allows you to persist data for a single user's session.
