.Jacob.
I'm just curious does anyone have any info on when we'll see it and any more further info on it that I may not know?
night_stalker_z
The Page Info has changed as well as a Restart Firefox button on the Add-ons window. The menu bar and right click menu also uses the native theme of the OS. Thats pretty much all i noticed. IceDogg
Here shows Firefox 3's new smooth tab scrolling and resizer, two new features. New download manager, another shot of resizer, and plugins manager Here is some more shots. More shots of download manager Shots of resizer and vista menus Mockups of things to come This just got added today. Although not exactly like the mockup in the picture, but close. Places mockups. These are not finish and could change a lot. Firefox 3 Schedule, but it's subject to changing. M8 and M9 are said to be Beta 1 and 2 respectfully. In this same link it has release notes to the right that you can click on and read up on features that have been added over time. Hope this helps. Quillz
If you use Firefox 3 on Mac OS X, you will finally have native system widgets. FTP skinning is supposed to look far better, as well.

IceDogg
Yea, there is some neat stuff coming in Firefox 3. Though not everyone will be happy, because that's impossible. I'm using the nighly builds now (couldn't hold off any longer) and it's also got a better spell checker. I don't know if you use the spell checker or not, but the suggestions in Firefox 2's spell checker are less then good. Firefox 3's spell checker is improved. Jase
does the nightly build come with the scroll effect and resizing the toolbars?
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted August 17, 2007 Veteran Share Posted August 17, 2007 If it's in the trunk, it's in the nightlies. And since i'm using the nightlies, i can say yes, it's in there (i can finally get rid of the Tagging UI extension i was using) Edit: Cool, it has a way to enable/disable plugins now, in the same window as addons

The_Decryptor Veteran Posted August 18, 2007 Veteran Share Posted August 18, 2007 Is there away to install the nightly separately without overriding my current firefox? Yeah, download the zipped version, and use a separate profile.
Quillz
Is there away to install the nightly separately without overriding my current firefox? Yes, use the Profile Manager, set up a new profile and use that with the nightly builds. Is Firefox 3 the same as Gran Paradiso? o.O Gran Paradiso is the brand name for all Firefox 3 alpha/beta releases, whereas Minefield is used for all Firefox 3 nightly releases. Obviously, the final product will simply be Firefox 3. (Remember that Bon Echo was the alpha/beta brand name for Firefox 2, and Deer Park was used for the nightlies.) +BeLGaRaTh Subscriber¹ Posted August 18, 2007 Subscriber¹ Share Posted August 18, 2007 That's good news. The current British English dictionary keeps zedifying my words. I hate that too, its supposed to be British (clue in the title? :)) not US
