I posted in the newsgroup (under Ryan with the subject of "NV4_disp infinite loop - possible fix?") alt.comp.periphs.videocards.nvidia on the 14th of this month about a possible fix for the above bluescreen crash with the Nvidia 21.83 (and higher) in Windows 2000/XP. What solved it for me was disabling Menu Shadows in Display properties in Control Panel. Its under the Appearance tab, Effects button.. uncheck "Show shadows under menus" Why I'm bringing this to your attention is because it seems this solution is working for others in the newsgroup as well and seems to be picking up steam. I can't guarantee this will fix everyones problem, but from what I can tell from the newsgroup, all who have tried it have seen the bluescreen disappear.
