Lt-DavidW
Firefox Campus Edition Launches A rep for Firefox?s PR firm let us know that Firefox is set to launcFirefox Campus Editionb> later today. It?s essentially Firefox with a ?back to school bundle? of adZoterotero ? plugin for research and nStumbleUponleUpon - the popular bookmarkFoxytunesytunes ? Control iTunes from the browser. Not sure about the educational benefits here. It?s probably fair to say this is a marketing drive to get Firefox installed on student laptops before they head back to school. I can think of a few companies, however, who might have extensions more suited to productivity, and might be feeling a little left out of this particular bundle. Once launched, the new version will be available at firefox.com/backtoschool. Trixx
Hmm, That brings up some questions for me.. Windows comes default with IE..so unless these stores aimed at student sales are prepared to disable IE on each one, their will be conflict on the machines, and with more plug-ins, come more conflicts with the two browsers. Other then that, this looks neat, I don't see why a bookmarking plug-in in necessary, what ever happened to CTRL + D? And also feel free to correct me if I am wrong in what I said above, I was just taking a stab at the future there..didn't do much research.. OPaul
There are no conflicts when running IE and Firefox on the same machine.
Trixx
Thats not what I meant, I tried running Google Bar on both browsers, and then the two constantly stopped responding.
