Konstanov
Debut Trailer Can anyone tell me what song is played at the end?
deletedxyz
The Saboteur looks amazing! It looks heavily based on the first Mafia game with the driving and drop off missions. I can't wait to play it. :D Spoiler video of first mission: @ABINN I can't believe you don't recognize that classic song! Here it is for you: Beardyman even beatboxed it. :D Edit: I just found out that this thread was from 2007 when I was searching for a thread for The Saboteur. >_< Edited December 22, 2009 by maskedforever
deletedxyz
I'm 12 hours in and I have to admit that this is probably one of the most fun games I've played in 2009. It's a pity that the gameplay and graphics aren't as polished as they should, such as repeating animations and poor object details in the distance. The story is a refreshing change from the generic shooter formula that most games stick to. I would like to say the producers sacrificed quality of gameplay for good voice acting and story. To give a rough idea, the Saboteur is 007 meets Nazis. You bed all the women, play with all the cars and all the guns. Gameplay wise, it's very similar to the first Mafia installment with different cars, different guns, and go to point A,B,C or D to find out more missions. In fact, I would like to say it's exactly Mafia except it's set in the 1940's. It's so similar that there's even missions that you have to race cars to win! If you liked Mafia and think it was a masterpiece, then the Saboteur is a must play.
deletedxyz
94% done. This game should have been a GOTY candidate if only the team were given more time to polish this game. This is probably one of the most fun games I've played in years and tops Dragon Age: Origins in terms of having fun. 20-22 hours of gameplay and you're fighting every type of Nazi and get to have a sightseeing trip of Paris. deletedxyz
I finished the game. Epic to say the least. I want a sequel now! (which is questionable since Pandemic Studios when down under) Irish 007 (based on real life spy William Grover-Williams) with two sexy girls out to sightsee and free Paris from Nazi control. How much more badass can it get?! One of the best video game stories I've come across that used several multi cultural references since No One Lives Forever. deletedxyz
Here are some screenshots I took during my playthrough: The gamma doesn't seem to be correct because I didn't adjust it properly in game. {WARNING: LARGE IMAGES - 1+ MB each} http://imgur.com/f3fpa.jpg http://imgur.com/wzzOW.jpg http://imgur.com/8E5SI.jpg http://imgur.com/c11BF.jpg http://imgur.com/coY8X.jpg http://imgur.com/WItNZ.jpg http://imgur.com/dtzXN.jpg http://imgur.com/cDOhK.jpg http://imgur.com/wqAUd.jpg http://imgur.com/JLtdK.jpg Edited January 7, 2010 by Masked Forever
trag3dy
I've been playing this the past few days and I think it's quite awesome. Without asking to many questions and getting to many spoilers in response...is there a point in the story where you go back to the race track for those perks or what? Because I haven't found out how to even start them yet. I'm about 50% done with the game or so I'd guess.

Because I haven't found out how to even start them yet. I'm about 50% done with the game or so I'd guess. I'm sure my response is late since you must have finished the game already. The first race is just to further the plot. As the game goes on, you get to unlock better cars by winning races in the countryside. It's all optional as much as I remember. I hope you enjoyed the sightseeing tour of Paris with Nazis in them.

deletedxyz
i really wanna play this game, but soo many ahead of it... mass effect, heavy rain coming out. I'll get to this eventually. the story and the art style look amazing. Play it for the story. The gameplay isn't the best in its genre and the achievements aren't worth spending more than 30 hours in this game. If you just stick to the story, you can complete it in 18 hours or so. I got this game with low expectations, finished it wanting more missions :( Exactly how I approached it. I was hesitant to play this game after it got a ~7.5 rating. However, I forgot all about it the game's charm won me over. The music, mature feel (18+ demographic), and classy, cinematic feel made it a very enjoyable experience. deletedxyz
The ending of this review features some of the fantastic one liners Sean delivers. Giant Bomb's reviews are better than IGN's or Gamespot's. It's starting to rival GameTrailers.
