Neo Razgriz
There is no need for privacy on the PC I use (I don't enter incriminating sites into the a-bar anyway). Yet it seems that on reboot, the address bar is wiped. I have not enabled any such option, not in IE7 nor in IE7 Pro (the only addon the former has installed). So what is causing this and how I stop it? It's a pain to have to re-enter everything.
Zoom7000
Hmmm... the only thing I can think of is double check that you don't have any boxes ticked for Deleting Browser History. Other than this are you running any 3rd party programs that could be wiping it? CCleaner etc?
Neo Razgriz
Nope, haven't installed CCleaner or anything like it on this PC. EDIT: I double-checked everything that could possibly be at fault: IE7, IE7 Pro, TweakUIXP, Kaspersky. Nothing had an option that even suggested "clear address bar on restart". Neo Razgriz
It just happened again. Does anyone have a solution? I've checked everything I can think of and I've come up with nothing! This should NOT be happening!!
tracy lords army
Tools | Internet Options | Browsing History {section just above middle} | Settings {button in Browsing History section} : History {section at bottom} | Days to keep pages in history ???? Or... you've disabled UAC and your user account doesn't have the proper priveledges to write to your "app data" folder?
howL.
hmm.... the only explanation is do you have a young son/brother of a young pubescent age? or maybe an old dad trying to spice up his love life?
Neo Razgriz
Eww @ the parent comment. And no siblings here either. UAC, and everything else to do with user accounts, has not been touched. History for IE7 is set to 7 days.
