FOOOD
Rumours are O2 are the carrier, but I want orange :p You're joking right? Orange would insist on replacing iPhone's UI with their own crappy 8-bit looking Home Screen  That's the reason I left them years ago. They were vandalising perfectly good phones with that junk.
Chicane-UK Veteran Posted September 14, 2007 Veteran Share Posted September 14, 2007 I want T-Mobile to be the UK carrier! O2's data rates are atrocious but T-Mobile have Web n Walk for ?7.50 a month! Its such an odd choice for it to be O2 here!:((

Anyway I'm sure Orange doesn't put the homescreen on it without the consent of the phone maker, so I doubt Apple would let them if they were the network for the iPhone. Too in Australia, the networks brand their logos on their phones on the hardware and software. But there's no way in hell able'll let them touch the iPhone. d4v1d05
I hope it is O2, then I won't have to get one... If it were Vodafone (who are the best bar none ;)) then I'd definitely have to get one... *prays for O2 so I can afford to go to uni next year* :D

The brit inside of me says it's not going to be cheap. :o:o I think it'll be less than that for the base model. In the US the 8GB iPhone costs as much as a 16GB iPod Touch (both cost $399). Over here the 16GB iPod Touch costs ?269 so I think it'd be more around that price... I agree that it'll probably cost around ?40 a month at least for the iPhone though. Quillz
Yea, if Jobs has flown to UK, it must have some other announcements that are quite high ranking for him to hop over the pond! Hmm... I think the biggest announcement in recent memory at any European Apple expo was back in 2004 when Steve (or Schiller, actually) introduced the G5 iMac.
