Novaoblivion
So I am back again to ask for some suggestions about HDTVs. My brother wants to get a HDTV for his Xbox 360 and to watch tv on (Dish Network). He is looking for something fairly cheap, probably in the 30" range I was thinking maybe something from Samsung, or Sony like this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1181832388132 or this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1186005983963 . I see some cheaper TVs (as in much cheaper) such as the Westinghouse but I dont know if they are any good or not. He wants something cheap but something that wont die anytime soon. So any suggestions/opinions/experiences would be great. Thanks.
QuarterSwede
As far as I've heard, Olevia's get good reviews, although I prefer the Westinghouse's LCD on sight. Nothing is going to compare to ... say a Sony Bravia. Those are gorgeous and the price is equally aweful. I think it's really too early to tell how long an LCD HDTV is going to last. They just haven't been out long enough. My gut says that you get what you pay for though.
Novaoblivion
Well the LCD does not have to last forever but he doesnt want something that has lots of problems and is going to die in the near future. The Sony's are nice (I have one) but his budget is not huge. Thanks again.
