cbrookhart
Something with the flash player is causing Internet Explorer 7 under XP SP2 to crash. I had this same problem on my laptop computer. Internet Explorer would be open at the Yahoo page and then all the sudden without having touched anything, IE crashes from the flash player. I think I fixed it, but now IE7 is crashing on my desktop computer. I will watch a series of videos on youtube and then all the sudden IE gives an error message stating that there was a problem with an add-on and it needs to close. The message is: Add-on Name: Flash9d.ocx Company Name: Adobe Systems Incorporate Description: Adobe Flash Player. This message is followed by another mesage which is the standard microsoft error reporting tool. What is the deal with the flash player causing the browser to crash for no apparent reason? htwho
This used to happen to me. Double check if you're up to date with Windows Update and download the latest version of Flash Player for IE. http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/?2924
