Possible to have two installed browsers that causes one to lag?

I have Maxthon as my main and Firefox as my backup.

When I use Maxthon, I feel it's quite laggy. As in when I click something, it takes like two seconds to respond. Another of my friend who has the same feeling as me ... when he had FF installed, his Internet Banking JAVA did not load for Maxthon. But when removed FF, Maxthon works with the JAVA.

Can two broswers cause conflicts?

Firefox has been known to inderectly cause slowdowns with Opera, the problem normally is found in that after installing Firerfox you've ended up with multiple plugins. Check for duplicate plugins and removing any dupes found should probably solve the problem.

"JAVA"?

Are you talking about Sun Java, or JavaScript?

And i don't see how the mere presence of one browser can cause a slowdown in rendering in another browser, unless one of them messes with system files or support files.

Is swift actually usable? And what's the point of having it when they released Safari on Windows anyways?

1. No.

2. Swift > Safari 2 and - (rendering engine)

do you actually use all of them for day to day use, or are you a dev?

Webdev only. :)
