I'll take a loss on the train ticket, but I'm not going to risk the hotel money to meet up with 2 people. What a waste of time. The problem was it was so close to christmas and with money being thin around some people and problems with others it was a bad time but with Neowindex next year that would be a great time for the meetup to happen. I can understand its near Chtristmas etc and thats why they cant make it, however this makes it look like its my fault because i was the organiser. Of course i dont care that its cancelled, but its a bit inconvenient that i plan for the weekend, people tell me they can make this date and put their name forward and then either dont get back to me after that or cancel at the last minute because they have to save for Christmas etc. Surelly you would have known this long ago.
