cosrocket
I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.7 and I get pop ups even though I have pop ups blocked checked off under options. The biggest offender is Netflix but I get others as well. Is there a way to eliminate them?
Dan~
Go to Tools > Options > Content > Pop Up exceptions, make sure you haven't allowed the website to do pop ups. If it's not there, they have just found a good way of allowing popups I just went on the site and didn't receive any popups thought. You say you have it checked off, shouldn't it be checked on? ephemeross
It might not be to do with the sites you're visiting or firefox, you may actually have ad-ware on your pc which is causing the pop-ups to appear. If you can't make it better by fiddling with the pop-up blocker options in Firefox, consider scanning your pc with a program such as Ad-Aware, which will find all/pretty much all of the ad-ware/spyware/etc, if any, that could be causing the pop-ups outside of Firefox. Tom Swiss
Ad-ware is most possible. BTW, you can visit http://popuptest.com , and click the test link to see if you have switch the firefox popup blocker.
