Guest Ryan
Actually around here you can get a decent box pretty cheap. I paid like $40 for my bandpass (sp?) which holds 2 12" . wow that's a deal there. if you find one for a 15" (don't really matter much if it holds 2, if the extra space wouldn't take away from the sound) let me know. you can buy it for me, send it here, and i'll pay you back. and i'm serious. i heard over here they are high priced. Guest Ryan
i just got myself a box. it's on its way. one thing i am unsure of though... does it matter if i have a box designed for two subs even though i'm only putting one in it? someone told me that i should make sure i have some type of wall or something in the middle between them. here's another picture of the subs i had before. actually i used to have a 12' american bass for while, then i sadly had to use an 8' jbl. now i have another 12' (kicker again). once my box comes, i'll post it up with my 15' earthquake in there. will it mattter if i had a 12' connected to my amp along with the 15'? i hear there's certain ways to hook up subs if they're not the same size. that you can do it, but there's limits. kaptain chump
this is my simple system for my simple car. once i get a nicer car (at the end of summer i will have one) then i deck the shizzle out. 1 audiobahn 12" ultra excursion aw1205q 1000 watt rms sub in a custom ported box: $134 1 JBL bp 600.1 600 watt rms monoblock amp (i want a 1200.1) $100 1 rockford fosgate 160.2 160 watt rms 2 channel amp $130 and an audiobahn mids/highs set$100 1 aiwa crappy funking flip open face cd player...i hate the thing  $150 the jbl runs the sub and the fosgate runs the mids/highs i still need to work on my mids/highs a little more. I might take some pics. Cant wait until i get my new car so i can start all over again!
Guest Ryan
i got my box today. i will post a pic of it as soon as possible. all though a box isn't anything special. and it has that divider in it so it's all good. i just use the empty space that's for another 15' for parts i use to keep the stuff together and hooked up. here's the 12' kicker impulse i have. i'm going to try to hook it up with the 15' earthquake and see how they sound together. Guest Ryan
As promised, here is the picture of my sub in my new box. My system is now complete. I still have the same Lightning Audio Amp and Sony Explode speakers and Pioneer CD player stereo. I just need another good 15' sub to go with my Earthquake. Guest Ryan
just get another one of the same type.i never mix speaker types, at least not subs. I know, that's thing with speakers of any kind, it's best to keep with the same brands. :argh: But when I got my Earthquake back when I did, it was the last one at the store, so now I don't know what to do. I want to get my money's worth out of the amp since it can have two subs, and I'm stuck with one. So for 15 inch, and taking into consideration what I all ready have this time, what would play nicely with my Earthquake and my Lightning Audio amp?
