Phantom Limb
AdBlock Plus. Plain and simple. I was a pretty big IE fanboy before I found out about it. As I kept using Firefox I started noticing a lot more that I liked about it, I think tab management works better than it does on IE7, as well as Bookmark/Download management. JohnBfromMemphis
I switched back when the first version of Fx was released with tabs, back when it was called Firebird 0.7. :D

toadeater
Extensions (especially Adblock); almost zero security problems compared to the popup and virus fest IE became; tabs; themes; configurable GUI... I like my buttons on the right and with as little space used for the toolbars as possible.
Xerxes
Extensions mostly, I just liked how I could customise Firefox to how I liked it. Now while most of the browsers offer the same features now (and in some cases better features then Firefox) I still stuck with Firefox, mainly cause I'm used to it and comfortable with it :p

sibot
1. More secure. 2. Faster than the IE engine 3. Love the text before image priority loading 4. Mouse Gestures 5. Availability of add-ons 6. I support open source and try to substitute it for all the expensive softwares that i already own. 7. Anything that is not Microsoft is good for change. 8. Spell checker 9. Fast response from Mozilla team to fix security vulnerabilities 10. Periodic updates What I would like to see in FirefoX 3.0? Firefox being less of a memory hog. ServerMechanic
The ability to block ads. Mainly the kind that fly out in front of what you are doing. Only after using it did I discover how awesome tabs, extensions, and other things are. I will never go back to IE. I hate it.
htwho
Tabs and the number and presentation of extensions offered. There's an extension for almost any sort of action you want to perform in Firefox. (Firefox Addon Page is awesome)

RuudJacobs.NET
building a website made me switch... I wanted to see what I coded and not having to screw around with workarounds for some basic things like <div> and css.
broady81
Prefer Open Source software personally, Firefox was the most available and flexible browser that matched this - I use Opera these days anyway just for a change
DreadBoat89
before: simplicity + tabs (when it was still fx 0.x) now: extentions (that's about the only thing preventing me from switching to opera)

Buu
Personally, I think opera is a superious browser but I did switch originally from IE6 to Firefox because: 1. Tabs 2. Security 3. Simple but nice looking UI
