In order to protect your PC and files, and to ensure that you experience the full benefits of an all-in-one digital multimedia solution, Nero strongly recommends that you download the latest version of Nero 7 from our website at www.nero.com. http://www.nero.com/enu/support-faq.html We can tell from the above statement that anyone who choses to register and use Nero Lite is clearly not going to be offered technical support. Not every Neowin member, however, will require technical support as our membership tends to be more knowledgeable than the common user. Since Nero Lite keeps the registration process intact it is different than some of the "alternative" applications that bundle in registration codes or take other liberties with the product. It is our belief that, although it is unauthorized and unsupported, Nero Lite's existence is tolerated by Nero Inc. It is thus our belief that Nero Inc. would not mind discussion on Nero Lite so long as there is no attempt to circumvent the registration process. If Nero Inc. prefers that we adopt another policy then I suggest they contact an Administrator or someone in Public Relations as we wish to maintain positive relations with all software vendors in the industry (plus we may want to hit you up for free product in advance of our next contest giveaway :p).
