Can't see my wireless network places

Recommended Posts

I've had this problem ever since I started using DGL-4300 router. Before all my PC's were wired but now I have one that is wireless. For some reason I can't seem to share anything from/to the wifi PC. I'm using a D-Link AirPlus DWL-G520 Wireless PCI Adapter(rev.B) with that PC.

The wifi PC connects to the internet without any problems and I can even ping it from my wired PC.

Today I downloaded a trial version of Network Magic and for some reason this software makes everything work but from within it's own window. If I click on My Network Places nothing appears. I did not allow it to enter the routers configuration page so Network Magic must of done something within Windows. But what is it doing that I can't figure out with a Windows basic network?

Normally all I do is right-click on a folder to share, select sharing and security and tick share this folder on the network. That always works with a wired setup. Is it different for wireless?
