MBA
Hi everyone, I have a strange problem with my browsers. I got windows VISTA recently and everything was working fine. All of a sudden my browsers stopped working. My computer is connected to the Internet, yahoo messenger and google talk are working perfectly fine for example and I can ping different websites but when I type a URL in my browsers I get that error message page saying I'm not connected to the net. I have tried re-starting the computer, re-installing my browsers (Firefox and IE) , tried installing a new browser (OPERA), and tried turning off my firewall...but nothing seems to work. I don't have any proxy settings, it's an Ethernet connection so I've always had it set to "direct connectedly to the internet" and this has been working fine in the past. Has anyone ever had this problem? or knows how to go about solving it? or what else to try? Many thanks, M.
