Wickedkitten Veteran Posted January 15, 2003 Veteran Share Posted January 15, 2003 has anyone actually used this prog to benchmark their mac? Here's my result, I'm quite pleased even though it did lose out a bit (cos the reference machine was a dual 800 qucksilver tower http://ladd.dyndns.org/xbench/merge.xhtml?...&setCookie=true plu s i didnt close everything before I ran it, will have to do it again under optimal conditions

A lot of the guys over at macnn said xbench wasn't a very reliable program because a) the dual 800 is the reference machine, and b) apparently it doesn't take into account the amount of ram you have. And I guess some other people got very different results with xbench for the two AlBooks, so it doesn't look to be consistent.
