Reeg
I just downloaded the beta of the Safari Browser for Windows and lovin' it!! One thing though, no support for Flash yet and my personalized Live.com page won't show. Not sure what that uses. Is it Java or something? But yah, just wanted to know if anyone else was using this yet and how you're liking it.

Reeg
I really don't think it's Arial. And I would really like to know why when I visit Live.com, I don't have the option for Personalized Page up in the top corner. That page has all my fav RSS Feeds on it. Bonk
I have been using Safari 3 Beta for the longest time but is having some issues with saving windows settings. Each time I close my Safari windows, it doesn't save my window settings and it gets very annoying after awhile. I even tried resizing it in different location on my desktop but Safari always resets itself and opens up in a smaller window. I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but I'd love to know how to fix this issue. As far as Safari 3.0 as a browser, it's really nice and fast for me and I really love the font it uses to render text. PS: I'm using Safari 3.0 Beta on Windows XP
Matthew S.
Anyone know what this font is? I need it in my life! It's the Default OS X font Lucidia Grande(sp?)
CHALE
The resizing problem I have it as well at the office, for some reason every time I minimize it comes back in a smaller window, but I don't have this problem ether on my mac laptop or my pc at home running vista, so it is probably something to do with XP. daveoc64
Sill nobody?Riddle me this: Why won't my personalized Live.com page work in Safari? Mine wont work either. Clicking any link to a personalised page just brings up the generic search page in Safari. Must be a bug.
gigapixels Veteran Posted November 7, 2007 Veteran Share Posted November 7, 2007 Sill nobody?Riddle me this: Why won't my personalized Live.com page work in Safari? Perhaps because it's made my Microsoft? I remember they did quite a few things that didn't work in Firefox until there were enough complaints floating around to change it. They don't expect people using Safari to want to use Live.com so they aren't coding for it yet.

raskren
it's just arial i think, it looks so nice because safari is really good at rendering fonts It is? I find Safari rendered text to appear fat and blurry. I think native Windows ClearType is a superior AA method. Smoothing in OS X is just a blur applied to the edges of the fonts which doesn't snap to the pixel grid of your display. That's why the type appears larger. ClearType uses sub-pixel AA which does respect the pixel grid.
