Your first ever game

Everything I could play on the Atari 2600 I played back in the late 70's but I also remember some BBC Microcomputer BASIC program at primary school also capturing my attention.

I think it was The World is Not Enough on PS1. My first game of my own was Destruction Derby 2 (something my dad picked out for me). The PS1 came with a demo disc, and I spent most of my time playing Spyro the Dragon. That Christmas I was given Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer and absolutely loved it :D I remember it was about a year on I finally completed Summer Forest (I couldn't get past Crush). I remember being about 7 and writing a strategy guide for it

Zork on a 286 I believe. I also had the original Atari and Pong, but I don't remember which I had first.
The Zork series was awesome!

Hmmm... The earliest gane I can remember is Adventure on the Atari 2600.

Edit: I guess I played Pong before the 2600 but I didn't think of it.

hahahaha finally the truth comes out...gamers are a rapidly aging bunch! my mom always told me i'd grow out of it...first when we got a 2600...then the C64...Amiga...Genesis...well you get the point!

good to see people here remember all these games, i mean Zool on the Amiga for pete's sake!

and Michael, you're likely talking about Desert Strike, it was an EA title!

My parents purchased (by my decision) A-Train for my 486. But for handheld my first was a GameBoy (brick) and Tetris was bundled.

twas a great era for games, tho none of them are really much fun nowadays. don't forget they used to churn out games like nobody's business in the 80's. a couple guys and some KY was all it took...no teams numbering in the dozens and endless thank-yous at the back of the rolling credits.
