neoadorable
good game. but slane is right the combo attacks are nigh on impossible to get right. counters no prob. and what an excellent story. maybe no trailblazing, but clever and does explain a lot of typical game stuff heh heh. draw horizon? texture pop? well Dez, it's all because of the... Slane
Finally got the 50 kills combo achievement, now I can go back to counter kills. But has anyone made it pass the 5 minute informer challenge in Damascus when you are getting info to kill Jubair, in the middle district. It's the last stand I'm missing on my DNA bar, before I go kill him, and I can't seem to get it. You have to kill 5 targets, I can kill 4 within a minute 30 seconds of starting, but the 5th guy my symbol shows him in between two guards (who never move). So I can't seem to find the 5th guy, I checked the roof tops around the area and only found a templar, no one else. Anyone have this problem or find him? Remysaus
just finished the game, def. my favourite game this year so far, the stuff after the last assassination is fantastic and certainly a very nice start for the next game. gotta get some rest now and get all those damned flags :p (probably never gonna happen.) ynnoj
The horse interaction during fights is a neat touch. They sure show them guards
Slane
Just completed seems I missed 'Hungerer of Knowledge' and 'Conversationalist' so that's another play though at least for me. I'll do that after I get all the flags. Edited November 19, 2007 by Slane

d3bruts1d
I'm loving this game. It is repetitive, but it's repetitive with increased difficulty, which is ok in my book. Loved the way they did the opening twist, I thought that was great. And besides, that could set up for variations of the game. Ninja Creed! :D Love the leaps of faith, and the random killings. The only thing I'm not to fond of is trying to find all the damn flags, or the informer missions where you have to grab all of the flags in 3 min. I've not had the game/360 lock up on me yet, however there have been a couple of times where it glitched and I ended up running into some pot carnying ladies that were not visible. Does anyone know how to grab and throw the harassers? RT + B
Slane
Aye d3brust1d got it right greg. Whenever they are in front of you begging just hold RT and press B, you will grab and throw them. It's pretty easy to do, there's tons of them and there all annoying just like the shirtless drunks/idiots that patrol and always seem to push you into guards. Got to agree with ya on the flags. Only things I got left to do, minus a second playthrough, and finding 420 flags and then another 60 templars just isn't looking so much fun. Glad maps are starting to appear online. Fear-51
This is one of those games that in time when the hype dies down... Everyone is going to ask themselves why in the hell did I buy this game... Pros - Graphics, crowd reaction, being able to climb almost anywhere is sweet Cons - Not much Variety - Assassinated diffrent people with the same animation and the blood effects suck... Fighting sucks, if 5 guys are trying to kill you..only 1 attacks at a time?? WTF? Every like 20 min the storyline kicks in and the load times arnt fun Collecting flags suck No unlockable items or weapons REPETATIVE GAMEPLAY!! No replay value Storyline blows Random Lockups Trust me... Give it a couple weeks... Youll be playin something else and trading this in.. Does anyone agree with me on this? kylejn
I've almost beaten the game (including all investigations in all cities), and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is so fun! Pros: -The fighting is awesome! Enemies come at you simultaneously from different directions and you have to use your counters, grabs, and normal attacks to fend them off. Plus, different classes of enemies helps keep things varied. The Templars will kick your ass! Plus, if you kill enough enemies in a group, the others will actually become afraid of you and run away. -Free running is so much fun. Hopping from roof to roof, climbing up things, jumping from view points, it's all great! -The cities are teeming with life. It's quite satisfying to grab a harasser and throw them into a wall. Despite tons of citizens on the screen, the framerate always remains smooth. -Graphics are amazing. Enough said. -The actions you can take within the game are so much fun. You can assassinate guards with your hidden blade, grab them and throw them off of rooftops (which is TONS of fun), blend with scholars, dive through merchant stands, make your way through crowds, and more. -Storyline is amazing. -Side missions are reasonably varied. At least, enough so that despite having done them all up to this point, I'm still not bored or tired of them. Cons: -Repetitive dialog. This game is easily a 9/10, maybe even a 10/10. I can't see how anybody could not enjoy this game.
Neo003
I do agree on some of the points Fear-51 like Random Lockups, same animation and the story line but like fighting more than 1 guy would not be a good idea. Just last night I would going for the 10 min achievement and suddenly in the camp I was fighting like 30 to 40 guys I was like WTF, then one by one they started disappearing. I do agree that this game doesn?t have any replay value just like Prince of Persia series, Max Payne, God of War, Oblivion, BioShock, Crackdown (My point is there were lot of game that doesn?t have replay value but the time we spend on the game is enjoyable which in this game it is). kylejn
Just beat the game. Damn cliffhanger! They better be working on Assassin's Creed 2 right now, or I'm going to be ****ed. Screw "vacation" and "family," I need to see what happens next! Having beaten it, my ratings stands a solid 9/10. Easily a must-buy. Now to finish Super Mario Galaxy... and the homework I've been putting off so I could finish Assassin's Creed.
neoadorable
it is repetitive, but being a mediocre underachiever X gen idiot i don't mind that at all, personally. overall a good game. the story's well done.

Now to finish Super Mario Galaxy... and the homework I've been putting off so I could finish Assassin's Creed. I approve of this post. Assassin's Creed is one of the best games this gen. Definitely the best free roaming game I've ever come across. Story was fantastic. Ending was great as well. One question: Anyone figured out the word puzzles on the floor on the Animus room? I haven't put too much time into figuring them out yet. To all the people dissing it: are we even playing the same game? The things most people are complaining about are nonexistent in the game I played.
