P.M.K
I'm using a Dell 24" LCD. A lot of websites still have there alignment set to the left and on a large monitor you have a lot of wasted space. Does anyone know of a Firefox extension that can set all pages to a centre alignment?? Thanks.
GodOne
I don't see the point of what you are asking for. Even if there is something to center align the page you would still have space too the left and right in the browser. Just restore down the window size or change the window size manually. htwho
Ignore the irrelevant post, Alphanumeric. I hope there's at least one Neowin member who can give you the answer you need.
abecedarian paradoxious
a lot of websites set their default width to ~768px. that seems to be to bottom end of what computers do lately. So, it doesn't matter if the site justifies left, right or otherwise, you still end up with the same total space being unused. ironically, using tables for layout can eliminate that problem, but using CSS to do so is difficult (not impossible, but difficult if you want cross-browser consistancy), and the current trend is to not use tables for layout so you get that wasted space if you want to be 'compliant' and don't get it if you want to be 'efficient'. odd since tables are pretty much consitant between browsers... ahhh........ tables were meant for presenting tabular data... if a website, presented in tabular form isn't tabular data.... eeekkkk and chroma means color or pigment, and soma means body, so I guess chromosomes are colored bodies? If you get the allusion, give yourself 10 pts... if not... load dreamweaver. Edited December 15, 2007 by Regression_88
P.M.K
I understand whether it's aligned to the left, centre or right there is going to be X amount of unused space. But I think it looks a heap better with all the data centered.
