PS3 Online Gaming?

Hey, was wondering if the ps3 if you have the option of playing for free, or you can pay to to upgrade ur gaming experience (liek ps2) or if it's like Xbox, where u subscript to Xbox Live????

You probably could play on dial-up - but it is uncorrect ethics wise :rofl:

Lol, ok guys. I am hurting enough already without broadband :cry: .

The reason I ask, is that a guy at work has a PS3 and told me that it can run online play at dial up speeds without lag.

This is important, since here in South Africa, the cheapest broadband option is a 348 kb/s, 1 gig cap, shaped line for $60.

yeah, nah if can manage to get dial up via ethernet networking you could maybe but then it'd still be slow loading and very very laggy. so not really worth it.

you do have to pay for certian ****, like socom 3 online, you need credit card for specific things, like joining a clan or server or **** liek that, that costs you some money. thats all i knwo about b4 (also of course the big block ud put on the back of ur ps2 lol
