Sony has revealed that their new Playstation Network Cards will be released in Japan from December 13th. Two versions will be available, retailing at 3000 and 5000 yen respectively and will work just like the Xbox 360 and Wii cards to make purchasing content that little bit easier.

Anyone know if these are coming worldwide?

I assume you could import off yes-asia or somewhere similar anyway if need be.

Why would you want this? :s

blah blah blah . . . . will work just like the Xbox 360 and Wii cards to make purchasing content that little bit easier.

easier!? First you have to buy the psn-card, then you have buy content with the psn-card, and then you get your content..

Might aswell remove the middleman and just buy the content directly.

I guess this is meant for kids or people who havent joined the 21st century yet :D

It's easier for those without cc/debit cards... or those without easy access to cards... or those who don't like using cards online, ect.

Or you can give them as gifts.

It's one less thing for people to request/moan about :p

I won't be using them anyway.

How do these work? Is it like an iTunes Gift Card you can buy in supermarkets and newsagents?

Been waiting for these since the release of the Jap model. There must have been an argument about the colors.
