+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted December 5, 2007 Subscriber² Share Posted December 5, 2007 Target release date is 13th december for Japan, and the game will retail for around ?20/$40.This site has the cars & course info: http://www.gran-turismo.com/gt5p/index_en.html Source: http://ps3forums.com/showthread.php?t=112837 In regards to the price, that's the same every Prologue title has retailed for (well in the UK we paid 24.99 for GT4 Prologue) Prologue is packed with more content than before. IMO it's similar to Warhawk in terms of content... Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will feature 16-player online races, 40 cars, 5 tracks (8 layouts) Heres GT4 Prologue for comparison Featuring 50 of GT4's then-planned 500 cars as well as five courses, this expanded demo was designed as a stop-gap until the complete version was released. The game includes a Driving School (License Tests), Free Run and Time Attack as well as early version of some circuits, like the New York track which was modified in the full version. 10 more cars, but no online play AT ALL. Warhawk cost ?20 on PSN. So as long as GT5 Prologue costs around ?20-?25 when OFFICIALLY in the UK, on PSN or Blu Ray I see NO issue with the price at all. So, haters, S:rofl:ofl: You don't need to buy Prologue, you can wait for GT5 retail. However with the major addition of online play, us GT5 lovers will kick back and enjoy while you all sit and moan! ps. We're getting a new GT5 Prologue trailer on the 9th! SnowRanger13
I never really was a GT fan until I played GTHD. When I was younger I just didn't like this style of racer but now I love it! After playing the GTHD demo I went and bought GT4 (it was $18 how could I go wrong with that price!). I downloaded the GT5P demo on the first day it came out. And now I have GT5P pre-order on play-asia.com I know GT5P is coming here probably early 2008 but I just didn't want to wait. So what half the menus are in Japanese :p

I doubt it with Prologue though :/ One is cheaper as well? :/ Gran Turismo 5 Prologue JAPAN - US$ 49.90 ~ 24.44 GBP) - Release date: Dec 13, 2007 Gran Turismo 5 Prologue ASIAN - US$ 44.90 ~ 21.99 GBP) - Release date: Dec 11, 2007 http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-19-49-en-15-prologue.html What did you pre-order? Seems the Asian copy would of been wiser! Cheaper/Released earlier ;)

Only problem is: This item is not available for shipping to European Union Iceland Liechtenstein Norway I'm guessing that the UK is included in the European Union or am I being retarded? Coz I know Yes-Asia doesn't send to the UK too.

Scazza
Yup, sadly no  for us UK'ers :(I think that has something to do with a dispute Sony had with Yes-Asia or else it's down to import laws or something... eBay it is then :( And yea, it was the Sony vs Lik-Sang issue that screwed us. Check my updated post mate ;) (Y) Yesasia - http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/...pid-1005119751/ wait... This product is not eligible for tax-free (VAT-Free) service to the U.K. and Germany. I dunno if that means it won't ship at all, or if you pay extra tax?

So add 17.5% to the total. Which as usual sucks.

I think the cut off for an item not having any import tax AT ALL is around ?23. So there may be nothing to even worry about in the first place. Tbh it would be more of a worry if you bought a ?300 gaming system when it comes to import t:p :p I'm very tempted to pre-order on yes-asia! Yea, I ordered my PSP from them when it was released in Japan, very good service. I ordered it on 17th December and got it on the 3rd of January or something. Which is good considering the festive period and mail ect....... I am really tempted to order it from them too.
SnowRanger13
Hmm only 3 of the 5 included tracks are announced. I hope one of the two others is N?r:pp edit: Looks like we know 4 out of the 5 tracks... The Top Gear website has confirmed that their test track at Dunsfold will be featured in the game. :DD edit 2: did some more reading looks like Top Gear's test track will not be in GT5P but will be in GT5. In GT5P you will be able to download a number of Top Gear episodes. Edited December 5, 2007 by cloudstrife13

SnowRanger13
I hope they add a chevrolet lacetti so i can be a non-star in a reasonably priced car and see how crap i am compared to the stig :) Well GT5P is only coming with 40 cars, but with the Final GT5 when it comes out is supposedly going to have 650+ cars. They said that there goal was to eventually have over 1000 cars with downloadable content... so chances are... haha
Sheppard
Yeah i wasnt expecting it to be in GT5P but if they are tying up with Top Gear with episodes and the test track they HAVE to include the lacetti. I can dream :(
