dreamsINdigital
The 20 GB PS3 doesn't have wifi or the media card readers, but it supports backwards compatibility through hardware, where it's only software emulated on the 80 GB. The PS3 does have a removable hard drive, and it's better than the Xbox 360's hard drive because you can replace it with any standard 2.5" SATA notebook hard drive. It's an official modification you can do without voiding your warranty. Read the instruction book or check out the videos on how to replace it online. Nightz
if you don't mind not having the card slots and wi-fi, the hard drive size should be no big deal. you can replace the hard drive in the ps3 with any 2.5" notebook hard drive. i've got a 160 gb hdd in mine. p.s. nice avatar ;)

gunnerhkjp
I guess it depends on what you want. I got the 40gb version because I wanted the cheapest thing that can run GT5 :)
CelticWhisper
I've been out of the loop on this so long. Can someone tell me the prices and the relative ease of tracking down one of the hardware-back-compat versions of the PS3? If I'm going to upgrade, I'd like to actually get the PS2 daughterboard in one rather than having to rely on software. Unless there's some particular benefit to software backward compatibility that I'm not aware of.
